Body Reading & the Language of Movement

with Justin Hyde - May 24-26

program overview

This training is a holistic perspective in understanding how our posture is formed through the story of our lives. Learn how to assess posture. Understand length-tension relationships. Gain the knowledge to see the body through a new lens and how to move the body back into a state of harmony or homeostasis using yoga.

This training will teach you how to assess breathing mechanics and imbalances in breathing that keep the nervous system in a heightened state, which in turn holds parasitic tension in the body. How to balance the imbalances and improve the form and function of the human body using yoga.

Every body tells a story learning the skills to read posture changed the game for me as a yoga teacher; I can assess in real-time the proper adjustments and cues to give my students potent shifts in their practice. The body is like a spider web. You can’t touch one strand without affecting the whole web. This module is going to help you understand functional anatomy.
