Join Sarah McGill, President of Backfitpro Inc, in a McGill Method Spine and Hip Masterclass. She will guide you through self and partnered assessments to better understand your own spine, hips and how to apply this understanding to your workouts and daily movement habits for more injury resilience. Work with your body, not against it! This movement optimization starts with an understanding of your unique anatomy, adaptations, habits, and movement patterns.
This workshop is for anyone who is active, works out, and wants to optimize their performance, and reduce risk of injury in their spine and hips. If you have episodic or nagging low back pain, this workshop will be a great introduction to the McGill Method for you!
This workshop is NOT for those in acute severe pain, or if you cannot tolerate variety of light movements for the assessment workshops. Everything will be optional to participate in during the workshop, however participation will allow for the most value learned.
What will participants get out of this workshop?
How the spine works, how to take care of their spine, especially while working out.
Their specific best spine position to be in – the “sweet spot”.
Their hip anatomy and optimal hip stance for hip hinge and squatting movements and positions.
Understanding of their own body.
Who is this workshop for?
Everlove members who attend fitness classes, Everlove instructors and healing arts team, anyone outside Everlove looking to gain more understanding of their body to implement into their daily movement habits and especially in training. Those interested in McGill Method science and information. For the active individual. An opportunity to work with me at a lower cost (my hourly rate is $200 plus tax, full 3 hr assessment is $791 out of pocket … wish it was covered by insurance but it usually isn’t).
NOT for someone in severe acute back pain – this is not an individual assessment.
