Yin Training

with Hayley Weiner - December 13-15

program overview

In a world that is increasingly yang dominant, this course is a gentle retreat into the soft yet powerful depths of our yin counterpart. Yin Yoga is the perfect balance to the Yang energy we all have and express in our lives. Working into the fascia and deeper energetic layers of the body, it asks us to do less to achieve more. It is a message that stands in stark contrast to the relentless ‘action = progress’ messaging of today's society.

Join us for this 25-hour Continuing Education course where you will learn the fundamentals of Yin Yoga; the asana archetypes, Meridian Theory from TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), functional anatomy and fascial lines, and the art of weaving these aspects together to create, practice, and teach a powerful Yin Yoga class.

You do not have to be a 200 hour yoga accredited teacher to take this program.

Hayley Weiner, Program Director

  • My 10-year yoga journey has taught me that balance is one of the most important qualities we should strive for, and that carving out time in our lives to just be without doing is one of the most healing and important gifts we can give ourselves. No practice embodies this like Yin. Exploring Yin has helped me cultivate the ability to remain equanimous in times of discomfort in my physical body, gently nourishing my joints and tissues to balance out these more demanding practices. Even more importantly, it has taught me how to remain calm, balanced, and faithful during the often painful storms of life, which each of us must move through on our journeys among this world. For me, Yin is a practice that extends far beyond the mat that aids me in bringing more balance into all aspects of my life. I believe it can and will be for you too.
